We have now moved into our new home at BayPoint, where we have been sponsored by Ramac Holdings Ltd, the owners of BayPoint and Princes Golf Course.
The GB Pickleball Academy is the first Pickleball Academy in the country and we will look to set up satellite centres over the next 5 years.
The Academy will focus on coaching, development and game play to play out principles coached over each session.
Coach to player ration will be 1:8 so will be refined to coaching format and individual need to enhance personal improvement,
The Academy boasts an impressive range of coaches which will be led by Level 2 Coach Sheena Maclean (First UK Sponsored player by Paddletek, US Open silver medallist, Viking Bay Championships Doubles Gold, Madrid International Tournament Doubles Gold) and Level 2 Coach David Wood with a support team of level 1 assistant coaches.
With an excellent range of facilities onsite at BayPoint we will be delivering a range of level 1 certified Pickleball Coaching programmes, workshops, awards & social evenings with a calendar of regular competitions – county, regional and national open to all level of players .
Our onsite retail facility will offer players a chance to try out Pickleball Paddles, various kit and apparel on court.
As we have had a healthy response to launching a training programme the Coaching Academy will be operating a booking system, with one session for juniors and two session’s per week for adults:
5pm – 6.00pm Juniors – Free
6pm – 8pm MIXED ABILITY £5 per person
Session will cover many elements of coaching to include:
Non-volley zone positioning
Strategy & court positioning
Dinking
3rd shot drop
Volley’s and block volley’s
Point play
The Academy will cost £5.00 per session. To guarantee your place we recommend booking and paying in advance.
Individual and private group instruction is also available 7 days per week, please contact us for further details.
We are now providers of the first ever Level 1 Pickleball Coaching Qualification – Day Course – £150 per person – which is ideal if you wish to run groups in your area.
